Our partner Almudena Álvarez attended last week the Annual International Bar Association Employment and Diversity Law Conference, which gathered +600 lawyers from +60 jurisdictions last week in vibrant Warsaw. She was a speaker, together with Luca Failla (Failla&Partners​), Philippe Grabli (Oneida Associés), and Agnieszka Fedor (Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak​) in the panel "Collective voice in a fragmented world: trade unions, collective bargaining and worker representation in a global context", exquisitely moderated by Kara Preedy (KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht) and Octavio Canton (Galicia Mexico​) Our colleague spent some time as well with the usual suspects from AIJA. Our colleagues Nuria Naranjo (ELLINTNext) and Almudena Álvarez (ELLINT Board Member) attended last week the unforgettable ELLINT Spring Meeting held in magical Copenhagen! Alongside the internal meetings, they attended an engaging workshop on disability and managing mental health in the workplace led by Giulietta Bergamaschi and Chiara D'Angelo from Lexellent, as well as a dynamic and fascinating session on management through music led by brilliant Uffe Savery (Safri Duo!). A fantastic social program with +30 employment and labor lawyers from more than 20 jurisdictions was also one of the highlights of the meeting, specially the local dinner at Mette’s. Last week our colleagues Nuria Naranjo and Almudena Álvarez attended the ELLINT Fall Meeting. +40 lawyers gathered in Hamburg to strengthen the collaboration between firms and catch up on the latest employment and labor trends: AI (from an European and Chinese perspective): localization, hallucinations, data protection, etc. Platform workers and worker status: practical tips to prevent having an employment relationship.

Today we had our annual Summer Lunch at the amazing Restaurante Montia, awarded with a Michelin star this year and located in the historical village of San Lorenzo del Escorial (Madrid). Idyllic setting to enjoy some relaxed team building quality time (with no cell phone connection) from where we wish you a very nice summer break!
