Last week our colleagues Nuria Naranjo and Almudena Álvarez attended the ELLINT Fall Meeting. +40 lawyers gathered in Hamburg to strengthen the collaboration between firms and catch up on the latest employment and labor trends: AI (from an European and Chinese perspective): localization, hallucinations, data protection, etc. Platform workers and worker status: practical tips to prevent having an employment relationship.

Today we had our annual Summer Lunch at the amazing Restaurante Montia, awarded with a Michelin star this year and located in the historical village of San Lorenzo del Escorial (Madrid). Idyllic setting to enjoy some relaxed team building quality time (with no cell phone connection) from where we wish you a very nice summer break!

Our colleague Almudena Álvarez attended last week her first Global Summit of Women (GSW) in Berlin. Almost 1,000 inspiring women from more than 60 countries gathered to share their professional leadership experiences; among others, CEOs, entrepreneurs, directors, ministers, and the one and only Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank and former employment lawyer: "If you base your actions on the 4Ls (Legal base, Learning, Labor, and Leadership) diversity and equality will prevail" Thank you Margarita De Cos for promoting the GSW in Spain and Irene Natividad for this incredible initiative!

On the occasion of World Environment Day, we would like to share some of the small steps we are taking at our firm to do our bit for the planet: using recycled paper for printouts, recycling paper (with confidential shredding) and plastics, switching to reusable steel water bottles, prioritizing train travel over flights whenever possible, setting responsible office temperatures: no higher than 19°C in winter and no lower than 27°C in summer, unplugging chargers overnight and adding air-purifying plants to our workspaces.
